MVL Clinical Laboratory Research Associate
MVL, a CLIA certified molecular diagnostic laboratory, is seeking an experienced laboratory technologist.
Responsibilities:
- Carefully execute detailed standard operating procedures in a CLIA certified laboratory including NGS library preparation, NGS, data analysis, DNA isolation, PCR, qPCR.
- Implement quality management procedures, data entry and tracking, protocol/process deviation documentation.
- Produce, analyze, document and report results, achieving high quality data in a timely manner.
- Proactive, troubleshoot, rapidly propose solutions and/or seek help.
- Adjust and adapt to new SOPs and workflows as throughput capacity grows.
- Professionally handle the pressure of aggressive deadlines while maintaining data quality.
- Flexible hours and open to working on weekends if necessary.
Requirements:
- 2 years relevant experience in a clinic or hospital laboratory setting
- Demonstrated experience with molecular methods mentioned above.
- Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to maintain careful attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience keeping accurate and detailed laboratory records.
- Capable of working in a team environment with the ability to analyze, interpret data, recognize quality failures and proactively seek help.
- Proficiency with standard office software (Microsoft Office), Sanger data analysis software (Mutation Surveyor) and NGS data analysis software is required.
- Ability to thrive in a demanding start-up environment with a positive, productive, professional attitude.
