About Our Test

The MVL SARS-CoV-2,FluA/B,RSVRT-PCR Assay Kit utilizes the Thermo Fisher Scientific TaqMan™ SARS-CoV-2, Flu A/B, RSV RT-PCR Assay Kit and the TaqMan™ SARS-CoV-2, Flu A/B, RSV RNA Control. The Thermo Fisher assay is a real-time reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction (rRT-PCR) test. The SARS-CoV-2 primer and probe sets used with the test are designed to amplify and detect regions of the SARS-CoV-2 single stranded RNA genome: the N gene, and S gene, and Flu A/B, RSV. The test is conducted on RNA isolated from Nasopharyngeal swab specimens using the MagMAX™ Viral/Pathogen Nucleic Acid Isolation Kit.
